ABOUT US

The MTW Collaborative is a non-profit membership organization founded in 2019 that advocates on behalf of current and future MTW agencies.

STAFF

NICOLE BARRETT

MTW Program Director

Nicole joined the MTW Collaborative in December 2018. As Program Director she leads research, policy analysis, and advocacy for the Moving To Work  program on behalf of MTW public housing agencies.

 

Prior to joining the MTW Collaborative, Nicole worked at the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities as a Research & Policy Analyst engaging in research and public policy advocacy around the public housing program, including on Moving to Work issues. She also worked at the National Housing Trust as a Policy Associate, and as a Management Assistant in the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations at HUD. 

 

Nicole has a background in public policy and social services, previously helping to manage a volunteer peer support program for individuals in long-term recovery at Baltimore Substance Abuse Systems, Inc. and serving as a Residential Counselor for at-risk youth.

 

Nicole earned a Master’s degree in Philosophy and Social Policy from George Washington University in 2012 and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Pennsylvania State  University in 2008.
